Update XII - Fulfillment Begins

Hello All!
Apologies for about a month of silence, the end of my semester called for a few almost-all-nighters and I spent the subsequent holiday week mostly recovering from that!
I’m coming at you today with what is hopefully an exciting update– pins arrived on the 21st, and they’re absolutely stunning! I’ve included some photos of everything at the bottom of this update, there hasn’t been a chance to take proper photos that will be used for listings in my shop once fulfillment is through, so they’re my very-excited-the-pins-just-arrived phone photos from when I first open the
I’m hard at work painting all of the custom ghosts now that my (rather hectic) semester and the holidays are over, and am doing my best to finish all of those up for those of you who are receiving one. Tote bags are also underway and should be in hand within the next week or so.
With (almost) everything in hand, that means shipping can finally get underway! Addresses will be locking in the next 48 hours, you should have received an email about that from backerkit. Shipping will be slightly staggered, to account for finishing up the ghosts and bags. All orders that have neither will be shipping first, then ghosts and bags as they are finished/in hand. I wish I could send everything out all at once, but I hope everyone can understand! The delay between first and last shipments shouldn’t be more than two weeks, at most.

Update XI - November Updates

Hello All!
I come with a small update today, but I want to keep everyone in the loop. I’ve just finished moving house, which has understandably so halted the work on my end. We’re in the “waiting game” portion of the process, however, while the timeline is largely out of my hands and in the court of manufacturers and shipping. There were some delays in finalizing the pin designs, making all the necessary tweaks and adjustments to get the best result out of the limits of the medium. As a result, the overall timeline of project fulfillment has been pushed back, since the pins are what tend to call the shots. A hopeful projection would be to have fulfillment completed before the end of the year, but my conservative estimate would be to say that it more than likely will be within the the early days of the new year after the holiday slowdowns in shipping start to lighten up.
Once I have all of my studio equipment and items back in hand, I’ll be picking up the custom ghosts and printing stickers once again. Prior to packing, I completed the making and baking of the ghosts, and just have the hats to produce before it's on to painting them!
Additionally, there has been a slight change of plans for the tote bags due to technical difficulties– Due to technical difficulties and limitations with screenprinting and preserving details, the new game plan is to use a linoleum relief printing method to maintain the hand printed aesthetics and product quality, while also maintaining the quality of the print itself.

Update X - Production & Timeline Status

Hello Backers! I hope everyone has had a lovely Halloween and fall season so far! Today I’m coming with some housekeeping updates regarding fulfillment, timelines, and some general info.
CAMPAIGN ITEMS
Orders have been placed for all items. I have the transparent Garden Ghost stickers in hand, and the charms have shipped and should be with me by the end of the week. I am printing the other stickers, as the success of the campaign has allowed me to upgrade some of my process to print in house! The washi tape is currently in production, and the lengthiest process that is finalizing the pin designs has been settled, so they’re now moving into production. Additionally, I’ve enlisted my wonderfully talented colleague, Dante Lumsden, to help with printing the tote bags. He’s a fantastic comics and illustration artist, and can be found on instagram @glitterandgrunge!
TIMELINE
As one might imagine, there have been some unavoidable adjustments to the fulfillment timeline. Pin production is the longest part of a project like this, typically dictating the overall outcome. As the designs adjustments have just been finished to account for some of the limitations of the medium that is the enamel pin, and finalizing the counts to adjust the quantities of the orders, the start of manufacturing had been delayed. As of right now, my current estimation of having the pins in hand is probably somewhere a month or so out– but I do believe all campaign fulfillment should be completed before the new year.
The Garden Ghost sculptures are slowly multiplying and haunting my studio space, but they’re pleasant company, however spooky they may be. Thank you to everyone who ordered a ghost, I’m still rather overwhelmed by the demand for the little spectres! I’m looking forward to painting them for everyone, once the sculptures themselves are finished, since I’m approaching this as a one-man-assembly-line of sorts.
